3rd May Online: Mini Mushroom Embroidery Workshop

Thread painting has become a new contemporary embroidery technique designed to create realistic embroidery artwork that almost looks as if it has been painted. Long and short stitch is the technique at the foundation of thread painting. Through this online workshop you will be taught the basic of embroidery, and the technique of long and short stitch so you can create a mini mushroom embroidery that can be displayed. All the materials are provided.

Join us online in a relax environment and make a textile collage of a moth or butterfly. Slow stitching is a process of embroidery that encourages relaxation and mindfulness through slow, steady and simple stitching, making it perfect for all skill levels. Basic embroidery skills will be covered and there will be guidance as to how to create your collage. All materials are provided however please feel free any materials from your own stash!
